Eating in at the Spread

On the first floor of the hotel, overlooking the High Street, the new dining room provides an opportunity to enjoy good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Dinner is served six days a week (not Tuesdays) from 6pm to 8.30pm.

We use the best local ingredients in simple, freshly-prepared dishes. Vegetarians and carnivores alike should find something to enjoy, with the menu varying according to availability and season.

Our wine is sourced from small independent winemakers and includes old favourites and exciting new options from around the world. Our meat is sourced for us by Alan Learmonth (on the opposite side of the High St) and can be traced to individual Borders farms.

Special Requirements

If you have any specific dietary requirements, please contact us in advance and we will do our best to accommodate you.

Accessibility

We have been unable to fit a stairlift due to the age and nature of the building, however, the stairs leading to the dining room are not steep. By prior arrangement we can serve meals in the morning room downstairs.
